We recommend the ''Westerschelde Cycle Route Terneuzen-Perkpolder'' (42 km), during this tour you will enjoy the gorgeous panoramic views over the Western Scheldt. The hotel is also the perfect starting point for a walk of about 25 minutes on the dike towards the city center. A walk through Oud-Terneuzen, where the history can be read from the old houses and streets is a must. Through the App 'Fietsroutenetwerk' you can find several routes in the area, our hotel can also be used as a starting point in the App.
The impressive Watersnoodmuseum in Ouwerkerk has lots of information about the Great Flood of 1953. You will also see how our country has constantly struggled to protect itself from the water. In this wonderful museum, you will experience the turbulent history of Zeeland and what the sea means to its residents. The Zeeuws Museum, housed in an Abbey in the heart of Middelburg, has a huge collection of historical exhibits from Zeeland.
